ATTENTION: RUSTY, HIT THE WALL OR BORED ARTIST
THE BAM! WORKSHOP
I would like to let you know that I will be offering a BAM workshop in my studio for those artists who want to re-start their IMAGINATION. I know you’re out there and are “tired” of what you are doing in your art and want to look for new ideas, further explore abstract painting techniques and be surprised and energized again!
This class is for intermediate and/or advanced artists.
Class size will be limited to three students per session. The first BAM session is scheduled to begin September 13th, 2010 for four days from 10:00am to 1:30pm Monday through Thursday. The second and third sessions follow below. The instruction includes exercises on paper and canvas in different mediums such as acrylics, chalk, graphite, inks and collage.
The workshop will expose artists to a broader range of possibilities in abstract painting techniques. My teaching philosophy is to encourage artists to explore their individual ideas and approaches. It is my goal as an instructor that each artist will complete the workshop with a renewed understanding of materials and focus in their work.
One of my favorite quotes that continues to inspire me was by Artist Arshile Gorky…”Abstract art enables the artist to perceive beyond the tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite…it is the emancipation of the mind. It is the explosion into unknown areas.” BAM!
If you are interested in signing up for any of these workshops, or know of someone who would be interested, please contact me at Marthart@cfl.rr.com.
