The Mural on the North side of the Dynetech Building was originally conceived by Scott Stahley of Lincoln Property Company as an important element and the finishing touch to the base of the sculptural Dynetech Centre building. The developer's direction was to create a mural that had energy and life. It had to speak to people of people and perhaps most importantly it had to be of Orlando and Central Florida. Lincoln tasked its team of visionaries, led by Lisa Cuatt, Donna Dowless and Baker Barrios Architects, to find local artists that would represent this energy and Lincoln's commitment to the local art community. After extensive research and interviews Lisa Cuatt and Donna Dowless met with the Design team and Desiree Stahley to review the final selections culled from this arduous process. It was at that meeting that Martha J. Mahoney's artwork was selected as the source of detail and inspiration for the Dynetech Centre Mural. He symbolic forms spoke to the surrounding water of Lake Eola, the Florida sun and the energy of the individuals who live and work in downtown Orlando. Martha Mahoney worked closely with Lincoln, Baker Barrios Architects, Q Gallery and XOXO Media Group to develop an image that was her artistic expression, a road map for the outstanding muralist team of Charles Markland and Andrew Spears, from which they executed the important final work.
